This Morning fans are against Kelly Hoppen's segment on Christmas baubles

By Digital Spy

This Morning caused a stir on Twitter today (November 24) with its segment about Christmas decorations.

This part of the show, presented by former Dragon's Den panellist Kelly Hoppen, included a “masterclass” on sprucing up Christmas trees and festive dining tables, but one particular aspect seemed to upset a large portion of viewers.

Kelly promoted a range of jewellery from various companies and revealed that they will cost customers between £1 and… £40!

Understandably, those on social media pointed out the enormous prices, while also questioning whether now was the right time to push for the high prices given the economic problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Many of us have lost our jobs and they think we are paying £40 for a piece of jewellery,” tweeted one spectator, while another divided: “When will they finally understand that people are down and out right now and don’t have much money?”

“40 pounds for a Christmas bauble, what world do you live in, certainly not the real one,” added someone else.
