Hallmark Media is ready to celebrate its upcoming 15th Annual Countdown to Christmas. With the transformation of the streaming service Hallmark Movies Now into Hallmark+ later this year, there will be even more and better ways to enjoy holiday programming. The gifts include major reunions, highly anticipated sequels, a new scripted and unscripted holiday series, and even a holiday team-up with the Kansas City Chiefs. Soap Hub analyzes the schedule for 2024.

Countdown to the Christmas program 2024 … so far

Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story (Premiere date: to be announced on Hallmark Channel)

Pour: Hunter King, Tyler Hynes, Ed Begley Jr., Diedrich Bader, Megyn Price, Richard Riehle and Christine Ebersole

Summary: Alana Higman is convinced that her family's lifelong experience as Kansas City Chiefs superfans makes them favorites for the team's Fan of the Year contest. Derrick, Director of Fan Engagement, is tasked with judging how Alana and her family stack up against the other two finalists. As the two spend time together, it's clear there's a spark between them, but when her grandfather's old winter hat emblazoned with the Chiefs' “Good Luck” slogan goes missing, Alana begins to doubt everything she believed about fate and destiny, even questioning her future with Derrick – unless a little Christmas magic can bring about one last desperate moment.

Soap compound: Hunter King, who played Summer Newman in Shadow of Passionhas become a Hallmark favorite.

useful information: This movie is fully focused on the Kansas City Chiefs experience. 1) The romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have served as the inspiration for this film. 2) Hallmark teamed up with the Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs for this film. 3) The movie was shot entirely in Kansas City, where Hallmark Cards Corporation is headquartered. 4) One of the Kansas City filming locations is GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs play. 5) Travis Kelce's mother Donna will play the manager of a KC barbecue restaurant called Norma & Nic's. 6) Jenna Bush Hager will also guest star, as will Kansas City Chiefs players and the team's coach Andy Reid.

Santa Tell Me (Premiere date: to be announced on Hallmark Channel)

useful information: Santa Claus, tell me brings Krakow and Lissig back together for the first time since Lissig left Hallmark's hit series When the heart calls. For five seasons, the two were the show's supercouple. Elizabeth and Jack were destined for each other and overcame obstacles to become husband and wife. When Lissig left the show at the end of the fifth season, his Mountie character was killed off.

Title: The Christmas Quest (Premiere date: to be announced on Hallmark Channel)

Pour: Lacey Chabert and Kristoffer Polaha

Summary: An archaeologist and her ex-husband, an expert in Old Norse languages, are sent to Iceland at Christmas time to search for a legendary treasure. When others join the hunt, the two find themselves on a thrilling adventure as they try to keep the treasure out of the wrong hands.

Soap compound: Lacey Chabert played Erica Kane’s daughter Bianca Montgomery in All my childrenfrom 1992 – 1993.

useful information: In 2024, Chabert will star in another romantic Christmas comedy, this time on Netflix. Her Hot frosty The co-stars include two former soap colleagues, Chrishell Stause and Lauren Holly.

Three Wiser Men & a Boy (Premiere date: to be announced on Hallmark Channel)

Summary: In a crazy turn of events, possibly caused by the brothers themselves, the director of Luke's son Thomas' school holiday musical resigns. Luke is determined to make his son's stage dreams come true, so he enlists the help of his brothers Taylor and Stephan. In the meantime, the trio meet their mother, Barbara's new boyfriend, and the brothers grapple with their own feelings about the relationship. In true Brenner Brothers fashion, they are all in for a Christmas they'll never forget.

Soap compound: The daytime audience may know Margaret Colin, who plays the mother of the wiser man, from her role as Margo Hughes in As the world turns.

The Finnish Line (Premiere date: to be announced on Hallmark Channel)

Pour: Kim Matula, Beau Mirchoff and Nichole Sakur

Summary: Inspired by her father's celebrated performance in dog sled racing, Anya decides to follow in his footsteps. After his death, she travels to Finland to compete in the 40th annual Joulurauha race, her father's last race, where he narrowly missed out on victory. After her lead dog is injured during the qualifying race, Anya gets a new canine companion, owned by journalist and former racer Cole, who wants to write a story about her journey. Anya struggles to build trust with her new dog and must face her father's rival, Monty, and overcome many challenges on her way to victory.

Soap compound: Kim Matula played one of the Hope Logans in Rich and beautiful. She will also play Jane Curtin in the upcoming Saturday Night Live movie SNL 1975.

useful information: The production shot the film in Finland and Iceland.

Holidazed (Premiere date: to be announced on Hallmark+)

Summary: The miniseries follows six families from different backgrounds, cultures and generations, all living on the same cul-de-sac, who come together at Christmastime. At a time when emotions run high, each family comes together to celebrate their unique, rich traditions and navigate family quirks that ultimately help them discover what they have in common: love in all its different forms.

Soap compound: Loretta Devine played a real angel named Angela in several episodes of the second season of Days of our lives spin off Beyond Salem. She also brought her character to the mothership for several episodes.

useful information: Vacation is Hallmark's first ever Christmas series.

Ready, Set, Shine! (Premiere date: to be announced on Hallmark+)

Summary: According to Brown’s Instagram post, On your marks, get set, shine! is a brand new, high-energy, unscripted travel show that will take you across the country and “discover America's most beautiful and brightest Christmas decorations.” You'll “get to know the families, neighborhoods and towns behind them, and most importantly, why they do it!”

useful information: Brown is one of Hallmark's most popular actors, especially at Christmas time. He played in the Bring out the holly Films, and this year it was announced that he would be a guest star in the Holiday Touchdown: A Chief's Love Story Movie.

Finding Mr. Christmas (premiere date: this fall on Hallmark+)

host: Jonathan Bennett, Melissa Peterman and special guest judges

Summary: In Search of Mr. Christmas follows ten promising Hallmark “hunks” who live together and compete against each other for the lead role in an upcoming Christmas movie premiering later this year during the Countdown to Christmas.
Hallmark Channel. The eight-part reality competition series features festive physical challenges and emotional acting scenes.

Soap compound: Once upon a time, Jonathan Bennett played the recast role of JR Chandler on AMC.
