Alfred Enoch and Kaya Scodelario lead the cast of “This Christmas”

Alfred Enoch and Kaya Scodelario lead the cast of the Christmas film “This Christmas.”

Principal photography for the Christmas flick has just been completed and it will premiere in December on Sky Cinema and the streaming service NOW.

The star-studded cast also includes Timothy Spall, Jack Donoghue, Jeremy Irvine, Alexandra Roach, Ben Miller, Joanna Scanlan, Sarah Niles, Nadia Parkes, Clinton Liberty and Robert Emms.

Set during the busy Christmas season in London, This Christmas follows Adam (Enoch) and Emma (Scodelario) as they make their way from the picturesque village of Langton to the city, where they meet the same passengers every day.

One morning, Adam decides to break the unspoken taboo of talking to strangers on the train and invites the entire carriage to host his own Christmas party.

The film is produced by Vertigo Films and produced by Allan Niblo. Chris Foggin is directing the Christmas film and the screenplay is by Alistair Galbraith.

Filming has taken place in London and Hertfordshire over the past few months. The film will be available on Sky in the UK and Ireland and on Epix in the US.

Kaya played the role of Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City and revealed that she was terrified of the realistic zombies in the video game adaptation.

The 30-year-old actress said: “One day we were shooting a stunt and one of them jumped on me. I thought it was just the stuntman before he had finished with hair and makeup.

“He was actually already in costume and I didn't know it. So he jumped on me and I totally shit my pants because it was so realistic.”
