Wonderlights opens two new locations for Christmas

Enjoying a hot chocolate while admiring the sparkling Wonderlights is an absolute must at Christmas time – and now even more families can experience this exciting family day out.

Expansion plans have been announced: Ireland's largest immersive light show experience is set to open at three locations this winter.

Not only does Wonderlights return to its home venue of Malahaide Castle & Gardens for the fourth year in a row, but it also comes to two new venues – Marlay Park in south Dublin and Fota House, Arboretum & Gardens in County Cork.

Each venue provides a glamorous, festive evening with a unique light show where guests are enchanted by colorful and impressive installations.

Since launching in 2019, Wonderlights has come back bigger and better than ever each year, with new themes, light shows, immersive projections and interactive features that are popular with little ones and adults alike along the accessible sensory trail.

Wonderlights offers a magical experience with specially composed music and sounds, working closely with each venue “to preserve the unique essence of each parkland while highlighting the beauty of the woodland areas.”

For sustainability reasons, the plants are operated with hydrogenated vegetable oil, a more environmentally friendly fuel alternative.
