  • Exhibition “Chemin Faisant”
    21 and 22 September

    The exhibition “Chemin faisant” shows works by adult students and Vigneuse artists from September 21 to October 12.
    Opening on Saturday, September 21st, at 7pm. Special opening on Sunday, October 22nd, 2pm to 5pm.
    EMAP's adult art classes feature some of their Vigneuse artists.
    This event is part of the “Journées Européennes du Patrimoine” (European Heritage Days) in Vigneux-sur-Seine on the themes of travel (national theme 2024) and “Art in Vigneux-sur-Seine”.

Town Hall of Vigneux

  • Art in Vigneux-sur-Seine: sculptures and frescoes
    Friday, September 20, 9 a.m.

    On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Vigneux-sur-Seine is publishing a new brochure on the history of the town: the theme chosen for 2024 is art. Curious visitors can now explore the town in search of frescoes, for example on a wall of the Louis Pasteur school complex, or decorations on electrical panels. Sculptures are exhibited outdoors and are freely accessible: the stone sculpture Magnannerie, which can be seen in the Gros Buisson park, and sculptures by Jean-Pierre Demarchi and Yasuo Misui. The urban heritage also includes some gems in the gymnasiums: the mosaic by Abram Krol and the painting by Virginio Vona. Finally, the 2024 brochure includes two information sheets on contemporary artists Danièle Decollonge and Franco Vitalino.

  • Street signs throughout history
    Saturday, 21 September, 2:00 p.m.

    On the occasion of the 2024 Youth Olympic Games, around 20 commemorative plaques entitled “In the service of history” will be installed: based on the theme of travel, the plaques will allow visitors to discover the history of four districts of Vigneux-sur-Seine: Mairie, Lac, Gare and Fleurs, and will complement the information already displayed on the street plaques (former members of the Resistance, famous people, etc.).

  • Exhibition on the career of Arlette Dorgère, a vigneuse artist of the early 20th century
    Saturday, 21 September, 10:00 a.m.

    Exhibition on the career of Arlette Dorgère, an artist from Vigneux in the early 20th century: this singer, dancer and actress was famous in Paris during the Belle Epoque. For 30 years she owned the Château de Vigneux on rue Pierre Marin, which has since been nicknamed Château Dorgère. She then moved to Monaco, where she died in 1965. The exhibition can be visited the following week until September 28, 2024.
