The Pavillon Baltard is taking part in the Journées du Patrimoine 2024 with a varied program that can be discovered for free on September 21st. An exceptional opportunity to discover the former Halle de Paris in Nogent-sur-Marne!

Val de Marne takes part in this great celebration of history and culture, about the Weekend of 21 and 22 September 2024. If you live in the department, there is plenty to do! Museums, churches, castles, old buildings, gardens… The list is endless! But don't forget to make a detour to Nogent-sur-Marne to your weekend program.

The Pavilion Baltard is a jewel to be rediscovered at every opportunity. Originally installed in the heart of Paris, in Châtelet, the building was completely dismantled and rebuilt in Nogent-sur-Marne to be saved. Why was that? It was one of ten pavilions made of iron, cast iron and glass that were built byArchitect Victor Baltard to accommodate the Central halls of Paris In Chatelet. Today, this historic Building hosts numerous public and private events, including gala evenings, television programs and trade fairs. It opens to the public on rarely Events including the Journées du Patrimoine.

    The municipality invites you to (re)discover the Pavillon Baltard and take part in the guided tours and film concerts on Saturday 21 September! Three guided tours by Vincent Villette, director of the intercommunal museum, will be followed by a presentation of the Christie cinema organ and a musical improvisation on Charlot Boxeur (The Master) by and with Charlie Chaplin by Marc Pinardel, organist at the Gaumont Palace.

    Organist at the Notre-Dame de Grâce de Passy (75016), Marc Pinardel is organist at the Gaumont Palace in the Pavillon Baltard and leads the agrégatif improvisation course at the Sorbonne. He teaches organ and improvisation at the Conservatoire de Saint-Maurice (94).
