Tamron Hall reveals that Al Roker helped her when her two-year-old son Moses needed emergency surgery

Tamron Hall is still with her former Today co-host Al Roker when she is in need.

The 50-year-old first-time mother revealed in an exclusive preview of the Tamron Hall Show on Friday that she called Roker, 66, in a “panic” because her two-year-old son, Moses, had an emergency.

“My son Moses had surgery a few months ago and I was panicking. I didn't know what to do,” Hall revealed in a conversation with her former co-host.

“I called Al Roker and said, 'Al, I need your help.' Within seconds, I met the doctor, was in the surgery center, and everything went better than expected,” Hall said with a sigh of relief.

The talk show host added: “This is what this man brings into my life!”

“Are you nice to everyone?” she asked Roker, who jokingly replied, “I don't know everyone, so I don't know if I'm nice to everyone, but I try to help!”

Hall, who has a son, Moses, with her husband Steven Greener, first spoke about the surgery in an Instagram post in April, but did not reveal what it was for.

“After an hour-long surgery, he is doing well. Thank God!” wrote the talk show host. “The last week has been hard for us, but seeing the pediatric team caring for Moses and so many other wonderful children was the best medicine to ease our fears.”

After his operation, Moses went on his birthday weekend.

“Today is the final examination, then everything will be ready for the birthday party this weekend. Moses is turning 2! My little prince 💜,” said Hall.

Hall and Greener welcomed Moses in April 2019. After his birth, the talk show host told PEOPLE that they decided to keep their pregnancy a secret because there was a time when she wasn't sure if his arrival was even possible.

“I was a high-risk patient, not only because of my age, but there were other medical factors as well,” said the former Today The presenter told PEOPLE:

Hall said Moses struggled with infertility for years and in her 30s she first tried fertility treatments that were unsuccessful.

“I don’t think you can use the word gratitude enough,” Hall said of her family.
