Pamela Anderson says her sons learned both age-appropriate and inappropriate details about her past

“Of course, over the years,” the model-actress continued, “they have learned about my past, both age-appropriate and inappropriate.”

Anderson’s breakthrough in Hollywood came after frequent appearances in playboy Magazine. During her three-year marriage to Lee, now 61, she was embroiled in controversy following the theft and distribution of a sex tape, one of many issues that have Baywatch Alumna spoke openly about it in her memoirs All the best, Pamela and Netflix documentary Pamela, a love storyboth will be released in 2023.

“Unfortunately, they thought I had been taken advantage of in some way,” Anderson said Better homes and gardens of her sons, adding that the “young, brave, hard-working men” offer their mother unwavering support and encouragement.

“They look at me and say, 'Mom, now is your time,'” she noted. “They told me, 'Whatever you've created by being you, just be you. We're going to try to find ways for you to continue doing what you love, but also share it with others in a way that you get something out of, too. You can create a life.'”

Anderson's adult children are also the reason she wrote the upcoming cookbook I love you (out in October). What began as a “housewarming gift for my sons,” a recipe card box like their own mother's, turned into a book-length project when one of them saw the potential, according to the publication. “My son Brandon, the businessman, said, 'That's a book, Mom.' And so we did it and called the book I love you as this was engraved on the prescription box.”

Of her sons, Anderson added: “They are ambitious, they are talented, they are creative, they are gentlemen and they are good cooks.”
