Season 3 of “Heartstopper” among the leaked Netflix series, but fans are angry

Netflix was the victim of a major data leak this week—but you may not have realized that it also included a leak of Heartstopper season 3. Some fans have noticed, and they're angry.

The marketing campaign for the third season of Heartstopper is carefully planned and over the course of many months, fans will be fed tasty tidbits.

We have since learned that the new TV show will be released on Netflix on October 3rd, but due to a data breach, leaks of several episodes have been leaked online.

But instead of trying to watch them, the “Heartstopper” fan community is angrily begging users to remove the links, as they allegedly harm both the cast of “Heartstopper” and its creator, Alice Oseman.

“If someone shares the leaked episodes of Heartstopper season 3, they are not only showing great disrespect to Alice and the cast who love her so much, but they are also hurting our chances of getting a season 4 because we NEED the official ratings to get it,” complained one fan on X/Twitter.

A second agreed: “The cast and creative team behind Heartstopper have put their heart and soul into making this third season and for someone to be so disrespectful and LEAK THE WHOLE THING ABOUT IT has to be absolutely devastating for all of them. How can you have so little respect??”

“I truly believe everyone reposting Heartstopper season 3 leaks doesn't like or appreciate the show because how can you share it when so much hard work went into it and they have to PAY for marketing that didn't even get a chance to be released,” a third added.

However, there was a “legitimate” leak about Heartstopper season 3… if you went to one of the show's pop-up events this summer. A replica of Charlie's bedroom toured several locations across the UK, showing fans a preview of scenes before the series drops in October.

Other series, including the second season of Arcane, were also affected by the Netflix leak. According to The Wrap, the streaming service has stated that it is responding “aggressively” to the leak.

Fans have suggested using extensions to prevent spoilers from appearing online, but if you're curious, there's one surefire way to find out what happens next to Nick and Charlie: read the graphic novels.
