Paul Wesley files for divorce from Ines de Ramon 5 months after announcing their separation

the Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley has filed for divorce from his estranged wife Ines de Ramon, who is now in a romantic relationship with Brad Pitt.

Documents filed by the actor in Los Angeles on Friday and obtained by PEOPLE indicate that the couple are divorcing due to “irreconcilable differences.”

Wesley, 40, and jewelry designer de Ramon, 32, married in 2019 and announced their separation in September.

“The decision to separate is mutual and was made five months ago,” the spokesperson told PEOPLE.

However, according to the divorce documents, the exact date of separation has yet to be legally clarified.

The divorce petition states that the couple's assets will be disposed of in court or by agreement.

Wesley, who filed the papers in Los Angeles Superior Court under his born surname Wasilewski, and de Ramon have no children together.

The filing came after PEOPLE confirmed that the designer received followers from Pitt, 59, for Valentine's Day.

The two have been dating since last year, with a source telling PEOPLE in November that Pitt and de Ramon “have been dating for a few months.”

A spokesperson for the actor has not commented on their relationship and neither the actor nor de Ramon have made any public statements.

Meanwhile, Wesley has been linked to model Natalie Kuckenburg.

In November, the two were spotted kissing and holding hands during a romantic dinner while on vacation in Italy.
