Report: Violet Affleck wears Jennifer Lopez's Valentine's Day dress

Ben Affleck's daughter Violet Affleck was photographed wearing the same dress her stepmother Jennifer Lopez wore on a Valentine's Day date with Affleck in 2023, as divorce rumors continue to swirl around the celebrity couple, according to photos published by Instyle and DailyMail.com. This prompted InStyle to claim that Violet Affleck is trying to lure the couple into a “parenting trap” due to her choice of dress.

According to IMDb, the film “The Twins” is about two children at summer camp who “hatch a plan to bring their wayward parents back together.” InStyle reported that Violet wore the dress on August 11 while “grabbing lunch with Lopez's twins Max and Emme in Los Angeles.” She wore a pink and white dress that “has sentimental meaning for her father and stepmother,” InTouch reported.

DailyMail.com published photos of Violet in the dress and noted that Lopez “famously wore the same dress on a Valentine's Day date with Ben Affleck in 2023.”

According to DailyMail.com, Violet “completed her look with open-toed sneakers and white gym socks,” while Lopez wore a Dolce & Gabbana belt with the dress “during her romantic dinner with Ben in Beverly Hills in February 2023.”

Since last spring, Lopez and Ben Affleck have faced constant rumors of marital problems and a looming divorce. They have done little to stop the rumors as they spent part of the summer on different coasts, with Lopez vacationing in the Hamptons, according to her Instagram page.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Lopez and Affleck are trying to “make this transition as easy as possible and be gentle with their children. They don't want to make things more upsetting than they already are.”

Lopez and Violet “have grown closer over the course of Jens and Ben's relationship, and it's important to all of them to maintain that closeness,” ET reported.

“Ben certainly doesn't want to cause any tension between Jen and Violet and is all for them spending time together,” the source told ET. “It's a little difficult for him, but both Jen and Ben want all of their children to be happy, regardless of the issues they're facing in their marriage.”

According to People Magazine, Violet Affleck was photographed this summer spending time with Lopez in the Hamptons.

Page Six had previously reported that Lopez was angry with Ben Affleck. “She's angry,” a source told Page Six. “He humiliated her. He was the one who took the initiative to reunite.”

What particularly worries Lopez is the impact of a potential divorce on the couple's five children. She has two children with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck has three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, of whom Violet is the eldest.

“There are five children involved,” the source told Page Six. “She knew they were bringing families together. She hasn't fully accepted that it's over yet.”

“He humiliated her because she made such a big deal out of him being the love of her life,” the source continued to Page Six. “They had two weddings just two years ago. That's kind of a record, they're not young kids anymore.”
