GILLETTE, Wyoming – Here is a summary of notable crimes in and around Gillette yesterday, taken from police reports from the Gillette Police Department and the Campbell County Sheriff's Office.

Trespassing, August 12, S. Burma Avenue, GPD

A 38-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing after she refused to leave Campbell County Health after being released yesterday at about 8:44 a.m., Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson said. The woman refused to speak to officers when they arrived and shook her head when they repeatedly asked her to leave. She was eventually taken into custody.

Criminal damage, August 12, W. 12th Street, GPD

Officers were dispatched to a daycare on W. 12th Street after staff reported damage to the facility's school bus at 9:46 a.m., Wasson said. According to the report, someone had covered the school bus with black spray paint, causing less than $1,000 in damage.

Theft, August 12, Hannum Road, CCSO

Officers responded to Hannum Road at 12:13 p.m. yesterday to investigate a report of theft from a 45-year-old woman, Undersheriff Quentin Reynolds said. Two black rims with green trim, a Playstation 4 and a Rolex watch with a red glow in the dark in a mahogany box were stolen from a parked RV. The items were valued at $26,700 and the investigation is ongoing.

Theft, August 12, E. Lakeway Road, GPD

A 57-year-old man called police at 2:10 p.m. yesterday to report that he had been scammed out of $1,060 as he left a store on E. Lakeway Road, Wasson said. The man said he left the store and was approached by three people who wanted to sell him jewelry. According to the report, the man paid the money in exchange for two necklaces, two rings and two watches, all of which turned out to be fake. The man told officers that all three people were dark-skinned and were driving a black Lexus with Illinois registration.
