New Penguin images introduce Gotham’s notorious crime family

Although the appearance of Robert Pattinson's Batman has not yet been confirmed, the timing suggests that his presence in the series is possible.

The first spin-off series takes place in Matt ReevesThe Batman universe just got an exciting new look. The official Penguin X account has released four new photos of The Penguinwhich shows four members of the Falcone family. The new pictures show Cristin Miliotiby Sofia Falcone, Michael Zegenby Alberto Falcone, Michael Kellyis Johnny Vitti and James Madio's Milo Grapa. The Penguin takes place after the events of The Batman and sees Oswald Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin, (Colin Farrell) attempt to take control of Gotham's criminal underworld, following Carmine Falcones (John Turturro) Death. The first of eight episodes of The Penguin will premiere on Max on September 19th and will air one episode weekly until the season finale on November 7th.

Although Reeves neither wrote nor directed The Penguinhe is involved in a production capacity to ensure the vision of the world he has brought to life in The Batman remains in the HBO spin-off series. Craig Sable will lead The Penguin and is best known for his work as director of the 2020 film The huntthe dark slasher horror with Hilary Swank. Zobel also directed an episode of Westworldand more recently he directed all seven episodes of the HBO original series, Mare by Easttown. Lauren LeFranc wrote the screenplay for The Penguin and will serve as showrunner. Her most notable work came on the Marvel Netflix show, Agents of SHIELDand also the Maddie Hasson-led series pulse.

Will Robert Pattinson’s Batman appear in The Penguin?

From the moment The Penguin spin-off series was announced, the question everyone was asking was whether Robert PattisonBatman would play a role in the series. Although Batman's appearance in The Penguinthe series' timeline makes it impossible to rule this out. Batman goes to great lengths in the film to thwart Penguin's plan, proving that he will not stand idly by while Cobblepot wreaks havoc on the city for his own benefit. The Penguin takes place after the events of The Batman and a Batman sequel is in the works. Unless Bruce Wayne is on vacation, he's somewhere near Gotham City and will certainly be keeping an eye on the criminal activities taking place there.
