Two teenagers drown in the Bhima River

Kalaburagi: Two young lives ended tragically lost in the Bhima River in Ganapur, Kalaburagi district, on Tuesday. The victims are Prakash Subhash Wagmore, an 18-year-old resident of Ganagapur, and Saksham Vinod Koli, a 15-year-old native of Gujarat.
The incident took place when the two boys were taking a holy dip in Ashta Teertha. Unfortunately, Prakash slipped into the river and Saksham tried to save him. However, both of them were swept away by the strong current of the flood water.
Gangapur police visited the accident site and recovered the bodies on Wednesday.

Officials sweat as the river swells, but not for long
When the water level of the Yamuna reached the danger mark in New Delhi, concern grew among officials about possible flooding. However, the danger diminished as the water level began to recede. Authorities were closely monitoring the situation and were convinced that unless there was a significant discharge from the Hathni Kund dam, flooding was unlikely to occur. Preparations were made for the contingency.
