2 people arrested for shooting at portable toilet in Kelso

KELSO, Wash. (KPTV) – A 19-year-old and an 18-year-old were arrested in a portable toilet on Wednesday after they allegedly shot a man in West Kelso on Tuesday, according to the Kelso Police Department (KPD).

On Tuesday around 7 p.m., KPD responded to a shooting and found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound in West Kelso.

The victim was taken to a trauma center and his condition is unknown.

Officers located the suspects' unoccupied vehicle in Ranier and began searching for the suspects.

On Tuesday, at approximately 11:30 p.m., the Columbia County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) received information that the suspects were hiding in a portable toilet near where they had parked their car.

The area was cordoned off and 19-year-old Connor Santos Aguayo and 18-year-old Eligha Buckner Lopez were rescued from the portable toilet and taken into custody.

Both are accused of drive-by shooting and first-degree assault.
