One dead and three injured after shooting in Colorado Springs on Wednesday

COLORADO SPRINGS – According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), one person is dead and three others injured following a shooting Wednesday evening.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. at the Ellers Grove apartment complex, located near Airport Road and South Powers Boulevard in southeast Colorado Springs.

When officers arrived at the scene, three people had been shot. CSPD said another person had been shot and they contacted him at a nearby Maverik.

According to police, one of the two men died at the scene of the accident. The other three were taken to hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.

Police say all those involved have been identified.

The name of the deceased person will be released at a later date by the El Paso County Coroner's Office.
