On 13 Augustth2024 shortly before 10 p.m., SPD responded to the area of 2and and Division for a shooting. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim had gone to a nearby apartment. When they made contact, it was discovered that the victim had a gunshot wound to an arm. The victim did not provide much information to law enforcement other than that he was involved in a physical altercation with two people before being shot. The victim stated that the suspect fired the weapon twice, but was only hit once. Officers helped the victim dress his gunshot wound before paramedics arrived.

Witnesses reported hearing the argument and gunshots before two unknown suspects drove away in a pickup truck. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing. If you have any information about this incident, please call Crime Check at 509 456-2233.
