Fatal shooting at Bridgeport apartment complex under investigation

BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) – Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Park City.

According to police, officers received reports of a person suffering from gunshot wounds at the Greene Homes complex.

Officers found a 45-year-old man unconscious in a hallway of Building 4.

Paramedics arrived quickly and confirmed the victim’s death.

Patrol officers secured the crime scene and notified the Detective Bureau (DB).

The Bureau's Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. They are being assisted by detectives from the Forensic Identification Division. The Bureau is currently interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence and notifying next of kin.

During this incident, several shots were fired and it appears that the victim was targeted.
