Double Trouble – 2 of America’s Most Hated Highways in Missouri

I wish I had a nickel for every time I drove down those Missouri highways and thought of curse words that I hoped I didn't say out loud. What I thought was just my opinion is now officially fact. Two of the most hated highways in America run through Missouri.

This big survey was conducted by an automaker who asked 3,000 drivers which highways they fear the most. The results show that two of Missouri's highways are responsible for many drivers taking anger management classes. I'll give you two guesses, but you only need one to figure out which roads in Missouri are bad.

The Missouri portion of Interstate 70 and Interstate 64/Interstate 40 Both were cited by the drivers as responsible for their constant anger.

Frankly, I'm surprised both of them didn't end up higher on the list of hated highways. Anyone who has ever driven on I-70, especially through the middle part of Missouri, knows that sometimes it's an exercise in dodging potholes and/or really bad cross-country drivers.

As for I-64/US40, all I can say is that it's a zoo trying to get to Busch Stadium in St. Louis without risking life and limb. It's as if the designs and locations of the exits were a test of courage.

Congratulations to the two Missouri interstate drivers on this infamous honor. You both more than deserve it.
