Tragic family dispute: Father charged with death of toddler

An alleged violent altercation in Rajasthan's Balotra district has resulted in the tragic death of a 10-month-old infant, while his two-year-old brother remains critically ill. Police say the father, Suraj Bawri, 30, has been charged with murder after an argument with his wife escalated into violence on Wednesday night.

Authorities say Bawri, allegedly drunk, attacked his two young sons by kicking and punching them. The younger child, Akash, succumbed to his injuries, while the elder son, Kamal, is currently receiving urgent medical attention.

Police took Bawri into custody after his wife Parvati filed a complaint. The incident shocked the community and raised serious concerns about domestic violence under the influence of alcohol.
