According to reports, officials are expected to make several arrests in connection with the murder of the “General Hospital” actor

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Gray News) – Los Angeles Police Department officers are reportedly executing warrants to make several arrests in connection with the murder of “General Hospital” actor Johnny Wactor.

Wactor was shot and killed on May 25 after he and a co-worker left work at a rooftop bar in downtown Los Angeles and noticed someone near his car.

Investigators said the 37-year-old actor disrupted a group of people who were stealing his catalytic converter. Wactor's mother said a masked suspect opened fire on her son.

Family and friends made a public call earlier this week for his killers to be found and convicted.

At a press conference outside City Hall on Tuesday, Wactor's mother, Scarlett Wactor of South Carolina, asked anyone who knew anything to come forward. It would help her and her surviving sons process their grief.

“I ask anyone who knows anything to come forward,” she said. “It will help me and his brothers heal to know that they were captured and convicted.”

On August 5, police also appealed to the public and released surveillance images of three unidentified suspects and their getaway car – a stolen black 2018 Infiniti Q50.

“Grief is my constant companion,” she said on Tuesday. “I can't wish him a happy birthday on August 31st – he would have turned 38. I can't ask him if he's coming home for Christmas. I can't ask him how his day was.”
