Five people have reportedly been arrested in connection with Matthew Perry's tragic death

Los Angeles, California – According to reports, several people arrested in connection with the tragic death of Friends star Matthew Perry.

On Thursday, People reported that authorities had arrested several people, including two doctors and Perry's former personal assistant, who were charged in connection with his untimely death.

Dr. Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the “Ketamine Queen,” and Dr. Salvador Plascencia were named as the first two defendants in the case.

During a live news conference, a Justice Department spokesperson said Sangha is charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, one count of operating drug premises, one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, one count of possession of ketamine with intent to distribute and five counts of distribution of ketamine.

Meanwhile, Plascencia is accused of conspiracy to distribute ketamine, while Kenneth Iwamasa, the “17 Again” star's former assistant, has been charged separately.

On October 28, 2023, Perry died tragically died from the acute effects of ketamine, although other factors such as drowning and coronary heart disease may also contribute.
