According to reports, arrests have been made in connection with the death of actor Matthew Perry

According to TMZ, several arrests have been made in connection with the death of actor Matthew Perry.

The “Friends” actor died last year.

He was found dead in a pool at his Los Angeles home on October 28, 2023.

According to reports Thursday, a doctor and suspected drug traffickers are in custody following a joint criminal investigation by local and federal authorities.

According to a report, the actor's body contained illegally prescribed ketamine.

An autopsy in December found that the 54-year-old star died from the acute effects of ketamine, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Other factors contributing to Perry's death included drowning, coronary heart disease and the effects of buprenorphine, a drug used to treat opioid addiction.

Los Angeles police told the National Desk in May that they were cooperating with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the United States Postal Inspection Service in investigating his death following the release of the coroner's findings.

The executed search warrants reportedly resulted in the seizure of computers, phones and other electronic devices.

Authorities have scheduled a press conference in Los Angeles for 1 p.m. ET to announce details of the arrests and charges in the case.
