Teenager charged with murder of 13-year-old at Madera Quinceañera

Madera police announced that a juvenile was arrested and charged in the death of a teenager.

Jacob Munoz, 13, was stabbed to death shortly before midnight on July 6 in Aquinceañera, in the area of ​​Sonora Street and Sherwood Way in Madera.

When officers arrived, they learned that the suspect was involved in an altercation that resulted in a large fight in a parking lot outside the party.

Two victims were stabbed and another person was injured.

Munoz was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Investigators identified a 16-year-old boy as a suspect.

On July 8, a search warrant was issued and he was arrested on charges unrelated to the murder.

The investigation continued and evidence was found that directly linked the suspect to the crime. This week he was charged with the murder of Jacob Munoz.
