Jodie Sweetin recreates her famous “Full House” dance 30 years later

All together now: How rude!

Jodie Sweetin channeled her Full house character Stephanie Tanner when she shared a joint Instagram post on Wednesday showing her and boyfriend Mitchell Gerrard Johnson recreating the iconic dance scene she performed on the popular sitcom nearly 33 years ago.

The post shows a split-screen video featuring the original dance, set to Boyz II Men's hit “Motownphilly,” in addition to her (perfect) reenactment. Sweetin even wore a black ruffled skirt, matching crop top, and jacket similar to the outfit she wore in the original scene. The dance originally aired during the Season 5 episode “Gotta Dance” on November 5, 1991.

“How rude of us not to have done this sooner! 😝💃,” Sweetin wrote under the post. “Thanks @feyblhouse for the great location!”

Full house Co-star Andrea Barber also joined in the fun and commented on the video: “STOP IT!! 🤣👏🏻💀 This is unbelievable! 🤩”

In a comment on her own post, Sweetin added, “Ok guys… @mgjohns and I had the BEST time recreating this Motown Philly Phabulousness.”

Widow of last year Full house Patriarch Bob Saget and Kelly Rizzo also shared their enthusiasm for the leisure activity and wrote: “Yes, definitely!!!!”

Sweetin has previously expressed her love for the dance moment and tells Today In a 2018 interview, she said that episode was one of the most memorable for her on the show, which aired for eight seasons from 1987 to 1995. “All the girls in the back were girls that I actually danced with at my dance studio. And my dance teacher came in and choreographed the number for that week and everything. So those were all my friends, because I grew up dancing,” Sweetin said.

“It was really fun because they got to come for a week and I got to see all my little dance friends,” she continued. “And it was a number that they already knew, that they danced in the competition, and I just stepped in for a week and had to learn it.”
