Let us remember the sacrifices made by freedom fighters to thwart evil plans: Dr. Laxman

Hyderabad: BJP OBC Morcha leader and MP Dr K Laxman paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence and urged the people to beware of the forces trying to divide the country.

While hoisting the national flag in front of the BJP's state headquarters on Thursday on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day, he alleged that certain international forces and political parties like the Congress were trying to divide the country.

“Along with the Congress, some international forces are also conspiring to divide South India and North India. Every Indian should be prepared to face the challenges of these destructive forces, irrespective of caste and religion,” he said.

He claimed that China and Pakistan were behind the violence in Bangladesh and the subsequent attacks on Hindus in that country.

“Today, India is emerging as a unicorn hub. Under Modi's leadership, India has become the fifth largest economy in the country and will surely become the third largest economy in the world in the coming days,” he said.

“Many people like Gandhi, Chandrasekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh and Veer Savarkar fought for the freedom of the country with the Non-Cooperation Movement and the Satyagraha Movement. We are breathing freedom today thanks to the Constitution of Dr BR Ambekdar and the sacrifices of all these people cannot be ignored,” he added.
