Patriots receiver JaQuae Jackson left Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles due to a leg injury sustained in the fourth quarter.

Jackson left the field in a cart. Patriots defender Deatrich Wise Jr. threw a towel over his face.

The Patriots quickly announced that Jackson would miss the rest of the game due to a leg injury.

The 6-foot-1, 195-pound rookie receiver recorded one catch this preseason, but it was a memorable one, scoring a touchdown on a 38-yard pass from Joe Milton in the opening game against the Panthers.

The injury occurred on an incomplete pass by Joe Milton III that was nearly intercepted. It was Jackson's only target of the game.

The Patriots signed Jackson as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers in the offseason. He was originally under contract with the Falcons, but Atlanta released him in June.

Jackson spent his final season at Rutgers after playing three seasons at Division II California University of Pennsylvania. He caught 22 passes for 361 yards in 2023.
