GBI investigates accident in Henry County

HENRY COUNTY, Georgia. – An accident slows traffic along McDonough Road at Greenwood Industrial Parkway in Henry County.

SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene shortly after 4:30 a.m. and spotted crime scene tape surrounding two vehicles, one of which appeared to be a Spalding County Deputy Sheriff's patrol car.

The cause of the accident and the extent of the injuries were initially unclear.

Several police stations were on site.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said agents have been assigned to investigate the incident.

Traffic is allowed to pass, but only slowly, and police are asking drivers to avoid the area.

FOX 5 teams are working to collect more.
