The municipal swimming pools in question are located at Milton Sports Centre and Milton Leisure Centre.

Police said a woman allegedly contaminated pools with feces and chocolate bars at public swimming events several times between August 1 and 12.

“These actions endangered the health of those present and resulted in these facilities being closed for extended periods of time, impacting the aquatics program and causing significant costs to the City of Milton,” police said in a press release.

When the police learned of the woman's alleged actions, an investigation was launched.

Police claimed they saw the woman deliberately polluting the swimming pool at Milton Leisure Centre on August 15.
