Attack on Titan: The Last Attack release date announced. Watch the visual trailer

It was announced on Attack on Titan's official website that Attack on Titan's final season, The Final Chapters, will be compiled into a massive anime. A teaser trailer for the upcoming project has already been released and fans can't wait to find out more.

The film was directed by Japanese Yuichiro Hayashi, who said: “I originally drew the storyboards with the idea that the film would be watched as a single film. To have the opportunity for everyone to see it in the best possible environment, the cinema, is a dream come true for me.” The director also mentioned that the visual elements were adapted for the theatrical release of the series.

Attack on Titan The Movie: The Last Attack is set to combine both parts of Attack on Titan The Final Chapters into one 145-minute film. The soundtrack will be Linked Horizon's “To You 2,000… or 20,000 Years From Now…”, which directly references the film's plot. It was announced that the audio has also been upgraded to a 5.1-channel surround soundscape.

Release date of the last movie “Attack on Titan”

Studio MAPPA has announced that the animated film will be released in Japan on November 8, 2024. The anime is inspired by Hajime Isayama's manga series and was streamed by WIT Studio in 2013. Production was later taken over by MAPPA Studio, which has been in charge of the series' animation since season 4.

In 2015, the series was adapted into a Japanese live-action film starring the famous Haruma Miura, and a Hollywood adaptation has also been announced. Hajime's manga Titan was also a huge success, selling 140 million copies worldwide. Now fans have high expectations for the upcoming anime film and hope that it will smash the box office.

The anime site Crunchyroll is streaming part 1 of the animated film. The description reads: “The fate of the world hangs in the balance when Eren unleashes the ultimate power of the Titans. With a burning determination to eliminate all who threaten Eldia, he leads an unstoppable army of colossal Titans to Marley. Now a ragtag group of his former comrades and enemies are trying to stop his deadly mission. The only question is, can they stop him?”
