Roseville Police Investigate Fatal Crash – Macomb Daily

Roseville Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 10:30 p.m. Friday on 12 Mile Road near Interstate 94.

According to social media reports, a Jeep and a motorcycle were involved in the accident. Upon arrival, officers performed CPR on the male motorcyclist, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Jeep remained on scene and is believed to be a Detroit police officer who was on his way to work when he was struck by the motorcycle, according to the Macomb County News and Scanner Facebook page.

Witnesses told police that the motorcycle hit the side of the Jeep.

During their investigation, police closed 12 Mile Road and an entrance to Interstate 94 for several hours.

When contacted by the Macomb Daily at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Roseville police said they had no further information about the accident or the ongoing investigation.
