Ariana Madix's brother Jeremy was arrested for allegedly possessing 34 kg of marijuana

Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix's brother, Jeremy Madixwas arrested after allegedly bringing suitcases full of marijuana to the airport.

According to court documents obtained by We weeklyJeremy, 32, was arrested at his home in Oceanside, California, on July 10 and extradited to Orange County, Florida, on charges of trafficking over 25 pounds of cannabis in connection with an incident in February.

The arrest warrant claims that Jeremy and Jonah Ahad traveled together from Orlando International Airport to Frankfurt, Germany on February 16. Customs and Border Protection agents searched two bags belonging to Jeremy and one belonging to Ahad and claimed to have discovered cannabis.

Jeremy's two suitcases allegedly contained 64 vacuum-sealed bags of weed, weighing a total of about 34 kilograms. Jonah Ahad's luggage allegedly contained 31 bags of weed, weighing a total of 16 kilograms.

Jeremy was initially held without bail, but a judge eventually set bail at $80,000 and he has since been released. He was required to surrender his passport to the clerk's office within five days of his release.

According to court documents, Jeremy is employed at a vodka distillery and tasting room and is scheduled to begin classes at MiraCosta College on Monday, August 19. He lives in California with his fiancée, Rachael.

Jeremy told exclusively We weekly Earlier this year, he said his love for Rachael was the reason he no longer had contact with his sister Ariana.

“Why I didn't talk to my sister and why I didn't talk to Scandoval are two completely different things,” he said on March 29. “I just want to make it clear that I didn't talk to my sister because I had to stand up for my fiancée.”

“There were some little microaggressive gestures towards my fiancée, and that's what led to me not speaking to my sister anymore. It's been going on for quite a while,” he claimed. “I think we just kind of let it slide, because of course I'm always going to look out for my sister. But I've been put in a position where do I choose my sister, or do I choose the person I'm going to spend the rest of my life with?”

Although he is not close to Ariana, he still has relationships with other Vanderpump Rules Actors, including Sheana Shay.

“I've always been very close to Jeremy. They're both family to me. He's like a little brother and has been for over a decade,” Shay, 38, said during a fan Q&A session on an April episode of her podcast “Scheananigans.”
