I-70 westbound near Vail closed due to accident

According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, westbound Interstate 70 near Vail is closed due to an accident.

The interstate is closed between exit 180 to Vail Pass Summit – about a mile west of Copper Mountain – and exit 190 to East Vail. CDOT officials said in a 5:19 p.m. post on social media.

Motorists should expect delays due to the accident and take alternate routes if possible, CDOT officials said. There was no estimated time for reopening.
