Steelers RB Jaylen Warren suffers hamstring injury and is out for the game

PITTSBURGH– Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren has suffered a hamstring injury and is unlikely to return for his team's game against the Buffalo Bills. It is unknown when Warren sustained the injury, but he immediately entered the blue medical tent and locker room.

Warren and the starters ran four series with Russell Wilson, but the Steelers scored zero points on those drives. Pittsburgh's offense scored zero points overall when both quarterbacks were on the field. The running game didn't seem much better either.

Warren's preseason was quiet, and the Steelers couldn't do much against the Bills. His hamstring injury will likely end his preseason. The Steelers hope the hamstring injury doesn't carry over into the regular season, where they can rely on Harris and Warren to play important roles in Arthur Smith's offense.

If he was unable to play in Week 1, Cordarrelle Patterson will play a lot of snaps. Jonathan Ward, the team's fourth running back, is also out for the game with a hamstring injury. With Pittsburgh's starters now out of the field, the team will likely play it safe and hope for no more injuries.
