Despite ten years of mediocrity, there are reasons to be cautiously optimistic that this season will be different for the Bulls. The front office has recognized the urgency and made some moves in the offseason that are hoped will change their fortunes. While these changes may not catapult them into the top league rankings, it is believed that they would allow them to return to winning ways despite narrow losses like last year.

Chicago fans are desperate to experience the postseason again, and this time it looks like they are well positioned to get one. As a result, fans may have to fight through the play-in tournament again, but predicting Chicago making the playoffs may make more sense than it did in the previous two seasons. Fans shouldn't expect too much, though, as another first-round exit is very likely after many other postseason disappointments.

This is a crucial year for Chicago, with a brutal schedule and restless fans. The question remains whether the roster changes made during the offseason will be enough to meet those high standards. But one thing is for sure: Bulls fans are excited to witness this up close, in anticipation of a season that ends this long ordeal.
