Radio host Kyle Sandilands reveals drug danger for stars at the Logies: ‘There is no worse feeling’

Radio presenter Kyle Sandilands has issued a stark drug warning to celebrities ahead of the 2024 Logie Awards on Sunday.

Shock presenter and co-host Jackie O Henderson was chatting to Logies host Sam Pang on his Kyle and Jackie O Show on Friday when Kyle admitted to a disappointing drug-related faux pas.

His warning was about confusing a “saddie” – a slang term for a ziplock bag used to store drugs – with the small bags of spare buttons often found in suit pockets.

Kyle said the mix-up could only lead to disappointment for everyone attending the awards ceremony.

“I have a little bit left and then at the end of the night you pull it out and you think, 'Oh, it's all gone,'” Kyle began.

“You pull out your saddie and there's the bloody bag with the suit button in it.”

“There is no more disappointing look on a man's face when you think you have a little saddie bag in there and it's the damn button bag,” he added.

Sam replied that Kyle's party game left something to be desired.

Radio presenter Kyle Sandilands has issued a stark drug warning to celebrities ahead of the 2024 Logie Awards on Sunday.

“An amateur lesson from you, Kyle,” he said.

“They have custom-made suits, just have it taken out,” Sam added after Kyle admitted it hadn't been a mistake he'd made for some time.

“Yes, you're right. Problem solved,” Kyle concluded.

This admission comes after Kyle admitted on Thursday that he was drunk for the first time in ten years and the effect it had on his two-year-old son, Otto.

A clip shared on Kyle and Jackie O's Instagram on Thursday showed a very happy Kyle dancing around his living room in front of the toddler.

In the footage, Kyle sang both parts of the legendary hit “Islands In The Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.

To fully immerse himself in the role of Dolly, Kyle wrapped his wife Tegan Kynaston's black fur coat around his head to simulate Dolly's voluminous curls.

Otto, on the other hand, was initially thrilled by the mood of the moment, but could only stare at Papa in amusement as he strutted across the room before running away.

Jackie O, 49, commented on Kyle's boozy performance and asked him how long he had been sober.

“So, how long has it been since you were a little drunk?” asked Jackie.

“Probably over a decade,” Kyle replied.

Kyle admitted that he didn't even have a drink at his wedding to 38-year-old Teagan in April 2023.

News anchor Brooklyn Ross then chimed in with his own assessment of the performance.

“You can see the look on Otto's face,” he said. “It's like realizing your father is not the man you thought he was.”

“You pull out your saddie and there's the damn suit button pocket in it.” “There's no more disappointing look on a man's face when you think you've got a little saddie pocket in there and it's the damn button pocket,” he added.
