This is a summary of Tamarac crime events through August 12, 2024, compiled through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff's Office to share updates with the residents.

Battery

A victim of Battery was reported on 08/06/2024. The victim was hit multiple times and pulled out of her vehicle.

Animal Bite

A victim of Animal Bite was reported on 08/06/2024. An adult male reported a large dog bit on his left leg, causing a laceration.

A victim of Animal Bite was reported on 08/07/2024. The subject was begging in the leg by a dog.

Warrant

A victim of a Warrant / Pick-up Order was reported on 08/07/2024. BSO received a call of a male masturbating behind a library. He was not masturbating upon arrival, but a name check showed an active warrant for robbery.

Information was reported on 08/07/2024. The complainant's rear window shattered while she was driving.

Theft

International Van Lines

A victim of Auto Theft was reported on 08/08/2024. The victim said an unknown suspect (s) unlawfully removed her 2013 Silver Infiniti JX35 from in front of her residence. The total estimated loss was $6,000.

A victim of Theft—motor Vehicle Parts—was reported on 08/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $500. A temporary tag was stolen from the vehicle.

Walgreens was the victim of Theft—Retail / Shoplifting at 3914 W Commercial Blvd, which was reported on 08/09/2024. The total estimated loss was $140. The caller said an unknown male entered the Walgreens and removed Old Spice.

CVS was the victim of Theft—retail / Shoplifting at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, which was reported on 08/08/2024. The total estimated loss was $7. An unknown subject placed Febreze bottles in a bag and failed to pay by passing all points of sale.

Death

A victim of Death Investigation was reported on 08/08/2024. Neighbors advised they hadn't seen their neighbor for approximately one month and requested a welfare check. Tamarac Fire Rescue forced entry and located the male deceased inside the home.

Burglary

A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 08/09/2024. The total estimated loss was $702. The victim was sitting in her vehicle when a known subject opened the door to the car and took her medicine bag containing medication, personal documents, and cash.

Publix was the victim of Theft—Retail / Shoplifting at 4121 W Commercial Blvd, which was reported on 08/10/2024. The total estimated loss was $629. Three unknown suspects entered Publix and removed several items from the business without paying for them.

A victim of Burglary Conveyance was reported on 08/09/2024. The total estimated loss was $600. The subject stole tools out of a vehicle.

Goodrich, Anthony Darnell, 42, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 08/06/2024.

Gibson, Carter Ford, 74, was arrested on a Robbery-No Firearm Or Weapon charge on 08/07/2024.

Ross, Brianna Nichole, 26, was arrested on a Larceny – Other Theft charge on 08/07/2024.

Armalin, Cynthia A., 65, was arrested on a charge of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1 Offense on 08/08/2024.

Nemours, Wideline, 23, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 08/08/2024.

Kowlessar, Cranston V., 52, was arrested on a charge of Touch Or Strike/Battery/Domestic Violence on 08/11/2024.
