Fulham can trouble Napoli in race for Man United's McTominay – Football Italia – August 18

Premier League club Fulham are once again in negotiations with Manchester United over a possible transfer of midfielder Scott McTominay, which could pose a problem for Napoli in their efforts to bring the Scottish international to Serie A.

McTominay is one of two Scottish midfielders the Partenopei have had their sights set on in recent weeks, the other being Brighton's Billy Gilmour.

For McTominay, Napoli have been told that the asking price is around 30 million euros and that Manchester United will not loan him out for the season.

Fulham also tried to sign the United academy product this transfer window, but reportedly had two offers rejected. Now they are back in talks with the 20-time Premier League winner and could increase their offer.

According to Sky Sports correspondent Dharmesh Sheth, Fulham are likely to make a better offer to Manchester United if talks go smoothly in the coming days.

Antonio Conte has not hidden his feelings about new signings at Napoli. At his press conference after the match against Verona on Sunday, he hinted that the club could make up to four more new signings, but previously warned that it would be difficult to convince players to come to the Stadio Maradona if they are not playing European football.

They recently lost Marco Brescianini, who instead decided to move from Frosinone to Atalanta.

Alessandro Buongiorno, Rafa Marin and Leonardo Spinazzola are the club's only new signings this summer.
