Death of Matthew Perry: Two accused doctors are still allowed to legally prescribe medication

New details about the doctors who allegedly played a role in the Friends sudden death of the actor in October last year.

Two doctors charged in connection with Matthew Perry's drug-related death are reportedly still allowed to legally prescribe drugs.

Mark Chavez, 54, and Salvador Plasencia, 42, are on trial for their alleged role in distributing ketamine to Friends Actor Perry, who died on October 28, 2023 at the age of 54 from the “acute effects” of the anesthetic.

But TMZ reported that despite the charges, the California Medical Board investigated both doctors and found no reason to revoke their licenses.

The board stated in a statement to the outlet: “Both [their] The licenses are current and active, and the board has not placed any restrictions on them.”
