Sheelu Abraham on extramarital affairs: “You can’t blame them, it’s about individual freedom” – CINEMA – CINEMA NEWS

Actress Sheelu Abraham has stated that people should not be blamed for extramarital affairs. In an interview with a YouTube channel, she argued that such relationships can be understandable from the perspective of those involved. “Why don't you see it that way?” she asked, meaning that circumstances often lead people into these relationships.

“Mistakes in marital life can lead to extramarital affairs. You cannot blame it. It is about individual freedom. Rape is wrong, but there is nothing wrong if it is consensual. However, it is not right to allege rape after having voluntary intercourse several times,” Sheelu explained. She added that while the public does not know about relationships in the film industry directly, they are often informed through rumours or reports. “People who have known each other for many years can suddenly file complaints against each other,” she noted.

The actress also commented on the ongoing rape case involving director Omar Lulu, with whom she shares a close friendship. Sheelu produced the film 'Bad Boys' directed by Omar Lulu, which is expected to release during Onam. She clarified that the production of the film began much before the allegations surfaced and the shooting continued even during the court proceedings. She acknowledged the fear that the case might affect the film's release, but noted that such issues are common in the film industry.

“No one can say definitively whether Omar Lulu is good or not,” Sheelu said. “Relationships between men and women are common today and these cases often arise out of resentment when there is a quarrel between those who once loved each other. I just want to say that women should be careful.”
