Albert Lea driver dead after crash in northern Iowa – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – A 63-year-old Albert Lea man was killed in a car crash in Winnebago County Sunday morning.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, it happened in Scarville around 10:41 a.m.

The driver was traveling south on 200th Avenue at 485th Street when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, and rolled several times.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

ISP will not release the name of the deceased until next of kin is notified.

The crash remains under investigation by the ISP.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office, Lake Mills Police and Fire Departments, Scarville Fire Department, Forest City Ambulance and Dick's Towing assisted at the scene.
