JD Vance compares Kamala Harris to Jeffrey Epstein in a controversial criticism of her inflation policy and predicts a Republican comeback in the November elections

Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance sparked controversy when he compared Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during an appearance on Fox News.

Donald Trump's running mate made the remarks while sharply criticizing Harris' approach to inflation policy: “Giving Kamala Harris control of inflation policy is like giving Jeffrey Epstein control of anti-human trafficking policy. The American people are much smarter than that.”

Vance expressed frustration with recent poll results showing Harris leading former President Trump by four percentage points in a national survey. He claimed Harris' policies were a continuation of failed Democratic strategies and argued that voters would reject her in the upcoming November election.

In response to Harris' proposed economic measures, which include a national ban on price gouging and a $25,000 tax credit for first-time home buyers, Vance said her leadership would not bring meaningful change. “She's doing more of the same,” he said, assuring voters would not support her campaign.

Although polls showed Harris favorably, Vance dismissed the results as misleading and said they were part of a media strategy to undermine Republican support. “We can't worry about polls,” he said, stressing that Trump's campaign is in a strong position going into the election.

The comments sparked a fierce reaction, with critics saying the Epstein comparison was in poor taste, especially given Trump's past ties to Epstein. With the election season approaching, Vance and the Trump campaign are stepping up their attacks on Harris in an effort to sway public opinion in their favor.
