Real estate agent in Arizona dies when car falls from 300-meter cliff, dog unharmed

An adventurous real estate agent died on Friday when her car skidded off a steep mountainside in Arizona – but her four-legged best friend miraculously survived the 300-meter fall, authorities and family said.

Kristin Little, 39, was driving on Thumb Butte Loop Road around 5 p.m. when her car plunged down the cliff and she was ejected halfway up the steep slope, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Sheriff's officers spotted the car at the bottom of the embankment and went down to Little's body, the sheriff's office said.

Because of the rough terrain and the approaching sunset, authorities waited until morning to recover Little, but officers remained with her body throughout the night.

While Little tragically died, her beloved dog CJ, who was in the car with her, somehow escaped the wreck unharmed and was taken by police to Little's parents' home, according to Fox 10.

“When Krissy's car rolled over, CJ must have jumped out, and when emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found CJ next to Krissy's body,” her mother, Jinger Cutting, told the station.

“She and I would hike all the time, all the time,” her mother said. “We would head out and meet at my office or somewhere downtown and just go hike on Thumb Butte or somewhere near the lakes.”
