New Jersey man arrested with over $1 million worth of illegal drugs


HAMILTON, NJ — A major drug bust in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, arrested 35-year-old James Nalbone Jr. He is now on trial after investigators discovered more than $1 million worth of illegal drugs in his home, car and storage unit. The arrest followed a months-long investigation into cocaine trafficking.

In August, authorities conducted a search of Nalbone's Byron Avenue residence with a police dog.

They discovered six kilograms of suspected cocaine, 130 pounds of suspected marijuana and 2,000 suspected oxycodone pills. In addition, police found four firearms, including a defaced ghost gun, and about $65,000 in cash.

The items seized also included drug paraphernalia and drug distribution equipment.

The arrest is a sign of a drastic crackdown on drug trafficking in the area. Further court proceedings are expected as the investigation progresses.

  • Tragic accident claims the lives of three Millville men

    MILLVILLE, NJ — A devastating car crash in Millville, New Jersey, left three local men dead early Sunday morning, Vineland police said. The crash occurred just before 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mayslanding and Panther Road.

    The victims were identified as Ian P. Rodriguez, 23, Joquan Carter, 26, and Shamere Bryant, 24. Authorities reported that Rodriguez was driving a BMW westbound on Mayslanding Road at a high rate of speed when the vehicle left the road near Panther Road. The car struck a utility pole, rolled over, and then collided with an irrigation winch.

    The force of the impact threw two men from the vehicle. All three victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently being investigated further by local authorities.
