Big task for CM Hemant Soren after Champai Soren severed ties: After Champai Soren's rebellion, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has to save four MPs or the government will face a major crisis. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren could be in big trouble after Champai Soren severed ties with JMM.

Ranchi. The political atmosphere of the state has become interesting due to the rebellion of former Chief Minister Champai Soren against Hemant Soren in Jharkhand. Chief Minister Hemant Soren had won the trust election in the Rajya Sabha on July 8, 2024. At that time, he received 45 votes. Now Champai Soren is no longer on his side. In this situation, one vote was deducted from the 45 votes that Hemant Soren had received. Now, if the BJP manages to get four more MPs on its side, it will create a crisis resulting in the fall of Hemant Soren's government. He will no longer have the majority.

Champai Soren has caused trouble by rebelling against Hemant Soren!

There are 81 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly. The majority quota is 41 seats. After Champai Soren's rebellion, only 44 MLAs are left supporting Hemant Soren. In 2019, Hemant Soren's party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats. At the same time, BJP won 25 seats, Congress 16, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) 3, AJSU 2, CPM 1 seat, RJD 1, NCP 1 and 2 independents. JMM formed the government by forming an alliance with RJD, CPM and Congress.

Jharkhand Assembly

Assembly elections are due in Jharkhand by the end of this year. Hemant Soren is shocked by Champai Soren's exit, but his JMM leaders say that Hemant Soren trusted Champai Soren and made him the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. JMM leaders are now accusing Champai Soren of stabbing him in the back. At the same time, Champai Soren has raised his insult in the JMM. If more JMM MPs go with Champai Soren, Hemant Soren's government may be in trouble. Then Hemant Soren will have to sabotage the BJP himself to get 41 votes for the majority.
