Fans are speechless when an internationally known DJ who plays in front of thousands around the world surprises 50 children in a youth club

CHILDREN in a youth club were speechless when Fatboy Slim gave them the surprise of their lives with a private performance.

The happy youngsters were speechless when the legendary DJ, who usually entertains thousands at festivals and arenas, played songs just for them.

What started as a normal day at the youth club quickly turned into an unforgettable experience when Fatboy Slim, real name Norman Cook, appeared behind the decks.

The children of Brighton couldn't believe their eyes when the music icon played.

A TikTok video showed shocked faces, showing the children humming with excitement.

Youth worker Florence shared this beautiful moment, saying: “I had to work at Brighton Youth Centre tonight to help with information on substance use and drugs, as that is my main job.”

“And they had like a DJ gig night. Super sweet, I love it for them. And all of a sudden I'm like, woah, this music is pumping. What's going on here, bro?

“And I walk into the room where music is playing and there's fucking Fatboy Slim doing a private gig for 13-19 year olds! Like what, what?”

Fatboy Slim stood on a podium at the back of the room and sang along to his song “Sinner Winner” while he asked the children to squat down and then jump up in time with the strobe lights.

People liked Florence's post and one wrote: “He's a good boy, that Norman.”

Another said: “What a legend (like you).”

Another said: “I think that's called giving back to good music.”

Fatboy Slim made a name for himself in electronic music by mixing house, breakbeat, rock and hip hop.

He rose to fame in the late 90s and early 2000s with songs such as “Praise You,” “Right Here, Right Now,” “The Rockafeller Skank,” and “Weapon of Choice.”

Before becoming Fatboy Slim, Norman was already active in the music scene as the bassist of the British rock band The Housemartins.

The group was successful in the 80s with hits such as “Caravan of Love” and “Happy Hour”.

After splitting up with The Housemartins, Norman delved into electronic music and enjoyed great success with his Fatboy Slim project.

His music videos, such as the one for “Weapon of Choice” featuring Christopher Walken dancing, have become cult classics and have spawned numerous copycats on television and in films, including Love Actually.

Outside of music, Norman was married to television presenter Zoë Ball in 1999 and they had two children before separating in 2016.

Her son, Woody Cook, has made a name for himself in the UK as a reality TV star and DJ and has made his own way in the music world.

He is best known for his work with The Circle and is steadily building his career as a DJ.
