Man accused of killing Riverside boy in head-on collision faces trial

A man who allegedly caused a head-on collision in Riverside at over 100 mph and under the influence of marijuana, in which a boy died and his three siblings were seriously injured, was due to appear in court for the first time on Monday.

Andres Laris, 23, of Riverside, was arrested and booked into Robert Presley Prison on Thursday, where he is being held on $1 million bail.

Laris is accused of intentionally violating traffic regulations and causing serious bodily harm in three cases.
