Here's where Freedom Christian's all-conference hitter is headed to college.

A softball champion from Fayetteville has announced her college commitment before her senior year.

Savannah Graham of the Freedom Christian softball team has given her verbal commitment to the University of North Carolina at Pembroke shortly before the start of the 2024-25 school year, according to Freedom Christian's “X” account.

“UNCP was the school I wanted to go to all summer,” Graham said. “I went to a couple of camps and loved working with Coach Graz and Coach Hawley. It's close to home and the area is pretty much the same as where I grew up, so when I walked onto campus and talked to the coaches, I knew that's where I wanted to be.”

As a junior, Graham ranked seventh in NCISAA D-III with 30 RBIs on the year and was instrumental in the Patriots' undefeated season en route to their fourth NCISAA Division III title.

She also finished third in the Sandhills Conference and 10th in the NCISAA with 32 runs on the season and earned a spot on the NCISAA D-III All-Conference first team.

Since her eighth season at Freedom Christian, Graham has accumulated a career batting average of .385, 57 RBIs and 59 runs scored.

Now that she has committed, Graham enters her senior year clear-headed and stress-free with the goal of once again winning the NCISAA D-III state title.

“I'm looking forward to being able to focus and improve before I play next year. I'm also looking forward to making some great memories with my girls and winning two state titles in a row.”
