As he approached the Panther Road intersection, his vehicle suddenly veered off the right side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole, veered out of control, and overturned, striking an irrigation winch in a field at the northwest corner of the intersection.

The two passengers were thrown from the vehicle. All three men were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, police said.
