3 dead, 2 injured in plane crash in New Hampshire

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in Candia.

Three people were killed and two others injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Route 101 in Candia on Saturday afternoon.

According to the New Hampshire State Police, the accident occurred when a 2010 Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed and sideswiped a 2018 Nissan Sentra. “It struck an eastbound railing, crossed the median and entered the westbound lanes, and then collided head-on with a 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.”

The drivers of the Tundra and Wagoneer – the two vehicles that collided head-on – died at the scene. A passenger in the Wagoneer was taken to Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where he also died. Candia is located northeast of Manchester.

The driver and passenger of the Sentra that was struck from the side suffered injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.

The police did not disclose the names of the dead in their first press release. The accident remains under investigation.
